  • At DOSALA, every project is organized into clear, structured phases to ensure efficiency, transparency, and high-quality results. Our internal workflow is fast, responsive, and highly coordinated across all phases. (Dowload PDF PHASES).

    During these phases we move extremely quickly, often exceeding typical industry timelines.

    However, it is important for our clients to understand that Phase 5 – Plan Check Processing is the only phase that is entirely dependent on external agencies, primarily the City and its reviewing departments.

    Once plans are submitted, the timeline is controlled by the City’s internal procedures, which often involve:

    • Multiple departmental reviews

    • Extensive bureaucracy

    • Increasingly complex building, zoning, and environmental (“green”) regulations

    • Limited staffing and long response times

    While we actively manage this phase on your behalf—responding to corrections, coordinating consultants, and resubmitting documents promptly—we do not have control over how quickly the City reviews or approves plans. Delays during this phase are common and unfortunately unavoidable, regardless of how well a project is prepared.

    These extended review times can understandably be frustrating. We want to assure you that such delays are not a reflection of the quality of your project or our work, but rather a reality of the current permitting environment in many cities.
